Anyone have experience with long-distance vehicle transport?

  I'm trying to figure out the best way to move my car across the country. There are so many transport companies out there, and I’m not sure which ones are actually reliable. Some offer open transport, others enclosed—wondering if paying extra for enclosed is worth it. Were there any delays or hidden fees?
